Jackie Robinson is the son of Sister Willena Robinson and the late Anthony Robinson, Sr. He was born in Durham, North Carolina and attended Durham Public Schools. In addition to his professional career, he taught business classes part-time at Durham Technical Institute from 1977 through 1985. He was president of the National Association of Accountants – Durham Chapter in 1989 when they won the most improved chapter in North Carolina.
