Biographical Data
M. Trent Carmon is the son of the late T. J. and Lue Lea Carmon (surviving). He was born and nurtured in Winterville/Farmville, North Carolina. He is a graduate of Farmville Central High School and North Carolina Central University, sited in Durham, North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science Degree, in Public Administration, in 1979. The NC Department of Transportation presently employs Trent as an Inventory Specialist with nearly 18 years of service.
He is especially proud of being the Father of Jaimie and Mitchelle Carmon (a member of Ruth Chapter # 2, OES, PHA, Raleigh, NC) and Grandfather of Pavlowa “Princess” Reed. M. Trent Carmon has dedicated his life to public service as a Life Member of the NAACP and Past President of the Raleigh-Apex Branch. Trent is an active working member on the local committee of UNCF, now The College Fund. He continues his service by serving on the following Boards in Wake County: The Martin Luther King Board of Wake County and Wake Christian Leadership Board. He is a member of the Laubach Literacy Council, which teaches adults how to read. He is a faithful member and trustee of New Bethel Christian Church of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Trent has received copious awards and certificates all through his Vocation and Masonic careers.
He believes in strong leadership and feels this Jurisdiction is blessed to have Officers that exhibit this characteristic.
His definition for leadership is the art of directing or influencing others to an assigned goal in such a way to gain their respect, obedience and loyal support.
